Army Asu Guide - There are four types of uniforms that can be prescribed for wear: Class A, Class B, ACU (Camouflage Field Uniform) and Physical Training (PT).
(a) The Class A uniform consists of the jacket, trousers/uniform pants, short-sleeved green shirt/shirt, collar/tie, hat, shoes, black socks, black waist belt, name plate, rank, school insignia, honor star, and all Licensed badges, lanyards, medals, ribbons and plaques.

(b) Female cadets may wear the uniform skirt instead of pants with the Class A uniform. This skirt is not issued, but can be purchased in coordination with the JROTC department staff. Note: The required hem length is knee length.

(c) The uniform hat is worn for all tests, parades and reviews, for all leadership labs, and for other selected events.
(d) A plain white Oxford dress shirt and black bow tie worn with the Class A uniform constitutes formal dress for appropriate formal activities, such as the military ball.
(a) Class B uniform consists of green short-sleeved shirt/shirt, uniform pants/trousers, shoes, black socks, black waist belt, name plate, rank, honor star, school crest. All authorized ribbons and tabs as well as tags are optional for wear, except for wear.
(c) The black army sweater with name plate, school insignia and rank may be worn with the second grade uniform. This sweater will not be issued, but can be purchased in coordination with the JROTC department staff. If you don't have a military sweater, you can wear the uniform CDH sweater instead of the army sweater.

(3) Class C Uniform: The Army Camouflage Uniform (ACU) is issued to male and female cadets participating in the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC). This uniform consists of a jacket, trousers, hat, t-shirt, belt, socks, boots and insignia.
(4) Physical Fitness (PT) Uniform: Athletic uniforms are not subject. Cadets use their own athletic attire consisting of a sweatshirt or T-shirt, sweatpants or shorts, and unmarked tennis shoes when these uniforms are specified, for example Cadet Challenge, organized athletics, dodgeball, and physical training.
(1) The correct placement of insignia, awards and other uniforms is shown in Figures 1 through 10.
(2) Cadets are authorized to wear distinctive shoulder straps on Class A and Class B uniforms to recognize their status as active members of joint JROTC organizations. Former members may wear the ribbon and tab awarded to that organization, but not the cord. Individual threads are worn on the right shoulder, except for the National Honor Society thread which is worn only on the left shoulder. The crack drill team and color guard cords are worn on the right shoulder for uniforms during performances. It is forbidden to wear more than two ropes, one on each shoulder. The authorized cables are:

General. Achievement recognized through badges, medals and ribbons. All awards and decorations must be announced by invitation before they can be worn. It is forbidden to wear a ribbon and a medal representing the same award at the same time. The awards and decorations listed here are the only ones authorized to be worn on cadet uniforms.
B. down. Male cadets wear ribbons centered above the left pocket and 1/8 inch above the top of the pocket on the shirt/jacket. Cadets wear ribbons in the center on a horizontal line that is even with the first button of the shirt/jacket and the bottom of the nameplate. Ribbons are worn in three rows in order of priority from right to left and top to bottom (see Figures 7 to 10).
Up to three tags may be worn on Class A and Class B uniforms. Females wear tags 1/4 inch below the straps. Males wear tags 1/8 inch below the top of the left pocket flap. A single badge worn in the center. Two shields are worn centered and at least one inch apart. Three shields are borne in the center and equally spaced. Only the highest qualification badge for each sponsoring organization will be worn, for example, a cadet will not wear both the Cadet Command Specialist Air Rifle Qualification Badge and the Air Rifle Qualification Badge (see Figures 7 through 10). Signs. Male cadets wear medals 1/8 inch below the top of the left pocket flap, or 1/8 inch below the bottom of the pocket flap when wearing a set of badges. Medals are worn in rows of two or more. If only one medal is worn, it can be worn consecutively with one or two shields in the left position. The number of medals worn in each row depends on the size of the coat. Second and other rows of medals do not contain more medals than the row above. For example, if there are five medals in the first row, the second row must have five medals or less. Each row of medals will be placed as high as possible below the row above. Below are authorized awards with medals in order of priority:

Organization tabs are worn on the right side of Class A and Class B uniforms 1/8 inch apart. Men wear tabs in the center of the pocket between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket (Figures 7 and 8). The tabs are centered on the adjusted seam between the second and third buttons (Figure 9 and 10). The tabs are awarded after the end of the season. The highest tab wears at the top according to the following order of priorities:

General. The Cadet Corps of the Kertin-Darham Hall attaches great importance to the enforcement of uniform and appearance standards. The grooming and manner in which members of an organization wear the uniform provides an indication of the state of discipline and morale throughout the organization. An exemplary appearance is the desired standard for every cadet at all times. Setting a good example and demonstrating good behavior are important characteristics of a leader. Almost all JROTC uniform and grooming standards meet the CDH standards detailed in the student handbook for all students. The minimum acceptable standards of performance for each cadet are listed below.
(1) trousers/trousers. Clean, pressed and properly fitted military and school shoes/pants. If the waistband is on the hip line, the slack/pants length will be such that the hem touches the shoe laces with only a "break" at the front fold. The hem rises 1 inch above the floor at the heel. The left back pocket tab is buttoned.
(2) shirts/shirts. Military and school shirts/shirts are freshly washed and pressed. The top neck button is buttoned when wearing a tie or neck tab. Whenever the optional long-sleeved shirt/shirt is worn, a necktie or tie is required. Shirt/shirt tails shall be fully tucked into pants/trousers so that the belt and belt buckle are visible. They cannot be "folded" or worn loosely over the belt. The JROTC rank insignia is correctly placed on the shoulder tabs of the shirt/shirt. The pockets are buttoned and the name plate is worn on the right side with the star of honor and the school emblem. All authorized ribbons are worn in order of priority on the left side. The organization tabs will be carried in order of priority on the right (Figures 8 and 10).
(3) Shoes. Only the issued shoes are worn with the JROTC uniform. Shoes are cleaned so that they are free of dirt, dust and stains. You can clean the upper surfaces of the shoes with a glass cleaner (Windex) and paint the sides of the soles with a black edge coating. The laces are tied.

(5) belt and buckle. A black mesh belt with a brass buckle is always worn with the pants/trousers. The belt tab is extended on the left side of the buckle for boys and on the right side for girls. The buckle is polished and aligned with the "Gig Line" (a straight line formed by the edge of the shirt/shirt, the edge of the buckle against the belt tab and the zipper flap of the pants/trousers).
(6) Undershirt. The only shirt that can be worn with the JROTC uniform is a plain white t-shirt with a collar. Do not wear colored T-shirts, T-shirts with colorful logos, slogans or designs, or V-neck T-shirts.
